Rebecca-5480webHi, I’m Rebecca. I am a scientist, social scientist, coach, and consultant.

I have been working in dimensions of strategic change for more than 20 years.   However, it is only in this chapter, as a coach that I am able to include the body, our holistic self in embodied learning. This moves me into the places I really care about and allows me to work with others creatively and deeply while being grounded in the science of the brain, as well as traditions of human development, psychology, and professional learning. We all seek to grow, and new possibilities emerge as we operate more from the center of who we are.

Some people seek me out because of my professional vantage.  Some seek me out because of a shared geography.  Others seek me out because of an aspect of my life or perspective that speaks to them.  Most often my work falls into 1 of 3 offerings: executive coaching, organizational development, and personal coaching.  I have a special vantage of working with technical leaders.  I also hold a passion for working with women leaders and those in transition.rebecca-headshot

I have a PhD in Energy and Resources from U.C. Berkeley. I am also a certified professional coach from New Ventures West, a professional coaching school of Integral Coaching in San Francisco. I also have served as adjunct faculty in the professional coaching course at New Ventures West where I have sat on student certification panels. My first career was in energy and international development, where worked with private institutions, financial organizations, consulting companies, government agencies, universities, and non-profits.  I also have a depth expertise in Africa, where I conducted numerous field projects.  I worked in the U.S. and internationally and worked extensively with international teams.  I was a researcher, scenarist, and social scientist. I was also a physical scientist in my early career in R&D.

I have published in technical journals.   I also volunteer in grief support.

I currently live in the Boulder, CO area, which is the Front Range of the Rockies and where the West meets the Mid-West.  This geography puts me in the center of what stretches me, having grown up in the Mid-West and spending most of my young adult life in the West.  I draw on the qualities of the practical and the personable.  I find the qualities of adventure, humility, wisdom, and vastness are the core values that I reflect in my work.  I live here with my family, my husband and my daughter, and I love spending time with them hiking, camping, snowshoeing and skiing.

“Building a refuge for your creativity and your intellect to create a new possibility.”
